Yes, the amount of data in the universe is enormous and hard to imagine. However, today we can say that people have learned how to use the data correctly (sometimes by trial and error method). For instance, according to World health organization reports, based on today's figures, the number of survivors from different types of cancer in the USA is estimated to significantly grow.

Thus, there is a little risk that the wrong data can be sent to a patient. But frankly speaking, unfortunately, people still do mistakes in responsible areas (like recent Boeing 737MAX issue).
