There is a PC with 2 MBR hard drives. 1st drive has 3 partitions, 2nd - 5. Every partition has a Windows OS installed. Which OS will be booted by default when you turn the PC on?

Answer:

An MBR stands for Master Boot Record. An MBR drive can have up to four partions meaning 1 disk can be partition into 4 parts in MBR,this is in the case of windows 10.

This MBR holds information of how file systems will be organized. It has a code that function as a loader for the installed operating system.

The OS that can be booted by default is Windows 10 but with the help of UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface ) that works as “middleman” to connect computers Firmware to its operating system. Because of partition UEFI directly boot the operating system and save the BIOS self test process, which makes it faster in booting.
