List and describe using relevant examples, the five Tuckman's stages of team development
According to Bruce Tuckman, group formation goes through five stages and this includes; forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning. These stages are based on the time the meet as a group until the time project comes to completion. Forming is the first stage of team development. Members of the group are introduced to each other. In storming stage, members are hit by the concept of task completion and they now feel committed. The norming stage ids now where each member’s efforts are noticed and appreciated. In performance stage, members feel confident, motivated and familiar enough with the project. Lastly, the adjourning stage members are disbanded due to completion of the project. This marks the end of the five stages of Tuckman.
