A network is a connection between the computers or electronic devices in which the resources are in the shared modes. Two network devices can share the files, send and receives the files. Devices can communicate to each other over the network.

The types of networks are listed below -

• Personal Area Network (PAN): It is the smallest network or in which minimum two network devices used to connect. It is mostly used for the personal use such as in any one building or house.
• Local Area Network (LAN): This type of networks are used for a society or in offices we used to install. We used this kind of network for the short distance such as 2-3 buildings. This is the wired connection.
• Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN): We used to connect two or more devices over the wireless network. In which devices can share the information over the network or can communicate over the wireless network.
• Campus Area Network (CAN): We used to install this kind of network in colleges, intitutes or in any organization.
