• I experienced a denial of service attack in 2018 while using YouTube app. The loading speed reduced and finally came to a stop. Trying to reload the page was impossible as it showed a network error. The disruption lasted for about an hour after which the normal connection was re-established. The following day, a group of hacktivists known as "The ghost squad hackers" claimed responsibility for the hack by boasting about the disruption on Twitter. This is how I came to know it was a denial of service attack and not a different technical problem on the YouTube servers.
