A multinational company opens multiple branches all over that Pakistan. If you are hired to design the networking from the company, what type of network you will select? What type of network topology will be suitable for the linking different branches or different department inside the single company branch? List down the network equipment you may require during this implementation.

The type of network that I will choose is the Wide Area Network (WAN); WAN is a computer network that links devices from multiple locations.

The type of topology suitable is star topology because it is the best network topology for large businesses, in this case, a multinational organization. Star topology is simple to coordinate and control from a single computer. Mesh topology is also an option because network failure in one branch will not affect the whole organization.

Network equipment required for implementation:

Wi-Fi access point- to provide access to WIFI via smartphones and tablets

Router- to ensure communication and manage network traffic.

Firewalls – to enhance security.

Internet connection- this could be a fiber connection.

Cables and connectors to link printers, server, computer, and other equipment to the network.
