A salesman wants to travel among 4 or n cities. He wishes to visit maximum or all cities in one day. The order of visiting different cities is not important, but his point of consideration is to minimize distance travelled. In a map this scenario can be described in this way; Cities are represented by nodes, and distance is represented as edges.

I think, the best algorithm for the salesman is Prim''s Algorithm.
Algorithm finds a minimum spanning tree for a weighted undirected graph. This means it finds a subset of the edges that forms a tree that includes every vertex, where the total weight of all the edges in the tree is minimized. The algorithm operates by building this tree one vertex at a time, from an arbitrary starting vertex, at each step adding the cheapest possible connection from the tree to another vertex.
