Africa is considered to be the cradle of humanity by the fact that the site has produced largest number of homin fossils which dates back to 3.5 million years ago. This idea of Africa being the cradle of humanity can be traced to Charles Darwin. He speculated so because at Africa was the cradle of humans since our two closest living relatives chimpanzees and gorillas live there. Africa had forest that provided shelter and habitat for the early man. This supports the idea of africa being the cradle of humanity. Africa is centrally located and it’s from here that man may have migrated to other parts of the world. Africa had savannah grasslands that provided suitable hunting ground for the early man making it the best place in the continent. Africa is really the cradle of humanity since it had conducive climate with plenty of rivers and lakes that provided water for the early man. Africa hence remains to be the cradle of the humanity.
