Two point charges are separated by a distance r. If the separation is reduced by a factor of 1.5, by what factor does the electric force between them change?

Two particles with electric charges Q and -3Q are separated by a distance of 1.2 m.

(a) If Q = 4.5C, what is the electric force between the two particles?

(b) If Q= -4.5 C, how does the answer change?

A thermodynamic process follows this relation: P = kV⁻². If the initial pressure is P₁ and the final pressure is P₂, then what is the work done on the gas? Heat can flow through the container.

150 j of heat energy is required to increase the temperature of a body by 6.0°c , calculate the heat capacity of the body and thus it's specific heat capacity if it's mass is 0.1kg

A thin sheet of mica is inserted between the plates of a plane capacitor. What pressure will act on this sheet when the intensity of the electric field is 10 kV/cm?

if the speed of light in air 3 x 10 ⁸ m/s find the speed of light in diamond of refraction index 2.419

  1. Calculate the capacitance of a capacitor whose plates are 25cm x 4.0 cm and are separated by a 2.0mm air gap.
  2. What is the charge on each plate if the capacitor is connected to a 12.0 V battery?
  3. What is the electric field between the plates?

cord in cubic meters.

A car of mass 1050 kg accelerates uniformly at 2.4 ms-2 from an initial speed of 10 ms-1. It travels a distance of 540 m before it reaches its top speed.

a. Calculate its top speed.

b. The total resistive force on the car at its top speed is 3000 N. What is the power of the engine in Watts?

c. Given that 1 horsepower = 745.7 Watts, what is the horsepower rating of the car engine (to two significant figures)?

d. What is the kinetic energy of the car at its top speed?

e. Please calculate its momentum.

Need to figure out the ground reaction forces on a horse standing still, walking

The horse in question would be 500kg and what I need to is to determine the force on the front legs. The horse distribute their weight with 52% on the front legs and 48% on the back legs. Assuming the foot/hoof is circular with a diameter of 150mm. What force occurs on the front feet?

Standing still ? And walking, around 2m/s?

Thanks
