Anaya pushes a 50 pound grocery cart with 20 Newton’s of force and it is relatively easy for her to make the cart speed up. However, when she pushes a 100 pound cart with the same 20 Newton’s of force, the cart doesn’t speed up at the same rate as the 50-pound cart. What is the explanation for this phenomenon?

The acceleration is inversely proportional to the mass of the object. So, when she pushes a 100 pound cart with the same 20 Newton’s of force, the acceleration will be smaller.
