Answer to Question #79451 in Physics for david

Question #79451
Two cars A and B approach each other such that a t=0, they are respectively at P and Q 1km apart with Va=108km/h. A passes Q 40sec after B was there and B passes P 42sec. After A was there. Determine the uniform acceleration of A and B, when the cars pass each other and the velocity of B that time of passing.

D=1000 =a/2 (40)^2+108/3.6(40)
The uniform acceleration of A and B,
a=-0.25 m/s^2
Then,
D=1000 =(-0.25)/2 (42)^2+v_b/3.6(42)
v_b=105 m/s
