Answer: When oscillations have a large amplitude, then the time period of oscillation depends on the amplitude and its greater. But when the amplitude becomes smaller, the time period becomes nearly independent of amplitude hence becomes constant. So the frequency will remain unaffected (same) if its oscillations die down from large amplitude to small.
