Citizens of some Western countries have been outraged over the consumption of dogs in certain Asian countries. Is this simply a matter of cultural differences in the attitudes towards and relationships with certain animals? Or is there a difference between the characteristics or capacities of the animals that we typically consume in North America compared to those consumed in other regions of the world. Is it more ethical to eat insects than mammals or are their ethical problems with eating them as well?
