REFLECTION AND MIRRORS
1. Hold a shiny metal spoon at arm’s length with the concave surface facing you.
2. Bring the spoon slowly toward you. What do you observe?
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2. This time, carefully observe your image seen at different distances between the spoon and
you. Describe the image. Is the image seen the same at different positions?
4. Now, hold the spoon away, with the convex surface facing you.
5. Slowly bring the spoon toward you. Observe and describe the image formed at different positions of the convex
mirror.
2. I observe my inverted image increasing in size
3. Yes, the image is still inverted: closer to me it is larger, further from me is smaller.
5. The image is upright and small in size if I hold the spoon far away and it's large in size if I hold it close to me.
