REFLECTION AND MIRRORS
1. Stand in front of a plane mirror. Is your image exactly the same in size as you are? Where it is apparently found?
2. Raise your left hand. What hand does your image raise?
3. Is your image erect or inverted? Is it real or virtual?
4. What is the difference between specular and diffused reflection?
For a plane mirror, the image will be the same size as the object and will be the same distance behind the mirror as the object is in front of the mirror. Since the light forming the image does not pass through the image, it is called a virtual image. It is erect image.
Image raise right hand.
Specular reflection is defined as light reflected from a smooth surface at a definite angle, and diffuse reflection, which is produced by rough surfaces that tend to reflect light in all directions
