If in fact the question refers to weight, which is a force experienced by mass in a gravitational field, then the object has mass. This mass is falling in a gravitational field with no reaction force (not even friction being applied to it). Therefore, the object is (or has "become" in the terminology of the problem statement) freefalling.

The object becomes freefalling.
