Answer on Question #48508-Physics-Electromagnetism

A coil with area A=2cm2=2104m2A = 2\,cm^2 = 2 \cdot 10^{-4}m^2 is parallel to a magnetic flux density equal B=0.05B = 0.05 tesla what is the number of the magnetic flux lines of the coil?

Solution

Number of field lines through a coil is called magnetic flux.

The magnetic flux is

Φ=BA=2104m20.05Tcos(90)=0 Wb.\Phi = B A = 2 \cdot 10^{-4} m^2 \cdot 0.05\, \mathrm{T} \cdot \cos(90{}^\circ) = 0\ \mathrm{Wb}.

Answer: 0 Wb.

But I have known that the answer will be zero according to the angle between them as the area of the coil is parallel to another flux density not it of the coil.
