a boy standing in the elivator which moving down with acceleration of "a" . he tossed the coin . all of sudden the string is of elevator is broken down and elevator under free fall motion . the coin will reach in his hand in time

When the coin is tossed it will have an acceleration of g downwards and when the lift will do the free fall i.e. it will also have the acceleration equal to g hence coin will reach in his hand when the lift will stop
