My question is this. Due to the composite nature of quarks I deduce that there are more then the convintional quark types and that they carry forces, not forces of nature but forces of energy and these are the key to discovering darm matter, which is anti gravitational and very "cold" but the cold is due to masslessness. Can quarks carry forces?
Is it possible to use pulsed x-rays to generate optical signals to remotely control deep sea research vehicles used to explore shipwrecks at extreme depth? This would eliminate possible entanglement of cables and such in wreckage. Tethered control unit would hover near wreck and remote vehicle could explore into wreck freely. Similar to an x-ray film but with electronics instead of film.
Do atoms have a resonant frequency? And if so, is it possible to affect/disrupt the strong nuclear force with a high energy, very high frequency, at the resonant frequency, pulsed DC electromagnetic field? What would the results of such an experiment be? Sorry it's more than one question.
Thanks, Tom.
What are the similarities and differences between Raman Effect and Compton Effect?
Compute the Fermi energy and the corresponding Fermi temperature of aluminium (trivalent metal) using the following data:density= 2.67 10^3 kgm^-3 and M of Al. = 26.98 10^-3 kg
Radon disintegration product of radium is in equilibrium with 1g of radium.find the mass of radon
calculate the number of alpha particles emitted per second from 1g of radium.assume half life of radium is 1600 years.calculate the volume of helium gas produced by 1g of radium in 1 year
A tube about 80cm long open at both ends are dipped into a vessel full of mercury such that 40cm tube is in mercury. Then we covered tube with thumb and taken out of mercury such that 22cm long column of mercury remains in the tube.find atmospheric pressure. (assumed temperature is constant)
In young's double slit experiment when violet light of wavelength 4358Å is used,84 fringes are formed in the field of view. When another Sodium light of particular wavelength is used,62 fringes are formed in the same field of view. The wavelength of the sodium light is: a)6893Å b)5904 Å c)5523Å d)6429Å.
There is a big flaw in the photoelectric effect explaination. I have read that absorption of energy by electrons is a instantaneous process taking less than 10^-9 s. at the atomic level this time is not so less. in 10^-10 s. light can travel 0.03m that is 3 cm, too large for an atom. now if the intensity of light is sufficiently high such that low frequency (<threshold) photons capable of making the electron jump to higher permissible orbits strike the metal for sufficient time the electrons would finally come out. which is contradictory to the law saying that ejection is independent on intensity. Please satisfy.
