Alpha$(\alpha)$ particles is the most energetic ray, this is because alpha particles have very large mass compared to beta$(\beta)$ and gamma$(\gamma)$ rays. Alpha particles are similar to a helium nucleus and it comprises of 2 protons and 2 neutrons. A beta particle is an accelerated electron while gamma ray is a photon which comprise of zero mass.
