The fact that here are no Stars visible in the center indicates that Benard 68 is relatively nearby with measurements placing it about 500 light years away and half light year across. This depedence is almost exactly as that predicted for a sphere in which the opposite forces for a gravity and internal pressure closely balance each other. Therefore Barnard 68 is marginally stable and is on the verge of collapse. The assumptions in Banard 68 is that there is uniform gas to dust ratio
