Solar nebula was the rotating gaseous cloud and dust that led to the formation of the sun and planets.

The nebular disk was formed as a result of rotating gas and dust. It is explained that a giant cloud made of dust, gas and atoms called nebular floated in the galaxy. When they flattened into a flat disk of gas and dust they formed the solar system that included the star- sun at the centre and the planets held in orbit by sun's gravity.
