what does magnetic flux mean in terms of both magnetic field lines and magnetic field strength? where is it greatest on a magnet?

The magnetic flux is the density of magnetic field, the number of magnetic lines passing through some given surface. It's greatest on the ends of the magnet because the density of the magnetic lines is maximal there.
