Should physician-assisted suicide be legal?

Physician-assisted suicide is the voluntary administration of a fatal drug with the direct help of physicians to end one's own life. The technique should not be legalized since it breaches a fundamental precept of medicine and the concept that doctors should not assist patients in committing suicide. After all, doing so contradicts the doctor's function as a healer (Sullivan, Hedberg, & Fleming, 2000). Most of the professionals who are likely to be assigned the job of helping death are the ones who are most passionately opposed to the laws of assisted suicide; therefore, performing the procedure will be risky (Sullivan, Hedberg, & Fleming, 2000). Assisted suicide should not be permitted because it is perceived as either an utterly personal concern or a societal issue that society must address since it is challenging to define proper decision criteria. Any lousy decision has permanent effects.

What factors contributed to the current decline in the rate of unemployment?

Unemployment refers to those who are employable and actively seeking work but are unable to find a job. The unemployment rate has been decreasing over time due to meager entry rates into both employment and the labor force, representing a long-run downward trend that has resulted in a decrease in the rate of unemployment over time. (Petrosky, Nadeau, & Valletta, 2019). Furthermore, the influence of the labor-force participation rate is causing the drop in the cyclical component of unemployment. Unemployment is also decreasing as a result of higher quality matches between people and jobs, as well as an aging population.

What factors contributed to China becoming an economic power?

China has overtaken the United States as the world's largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity, manufacturer, goods dealer, and holder of foreign exchange reserves. This is due to its economic reforms, which enabled the country to substantially scale up its output, lower manufacturing costs, and make it a home for mass production (Li, 2008). It was also driven by colossal government expenditure, in which the government dominates and controls the major industries, directing corporations to high-priority initiatives (Li, 2008). Furthermore, the country's central bank manages its currency to manage the pricing of exports to the United States.

How and why have divorce rates changed over time.

Divorce is becoming more common over time. The rise is related to young age marriage, as marriage at a young age increases the likelihood of divorce, particularly in the early years of marriage (Aughinbaugh, Robles, & Sun, 2013Lack of education has also contributed to a high divorce rate, since research reveals that people with at least a college degree had a lower divorce rate than those without a college degree (Aughinbaugh, Robles, & Sun, 2013).  Furthermore, premarital cohabitation increases the likelihood of divorce since couples who live together before marriage have a significant possibility of separation, particularly those with several partners. People are divorcing at an alarming rate due to a lack of commitment, a lot of squabbling, being disloyal to one other, inequity between spouses, inadequate marital preparation, and abuse.

Discuss the history of Bitcoin

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that may be transmitted from user to user on the peer–to–peer Bitcoin network without the need for intermediaries since transactions are cryptographically confirmed by network nodes and recorded in a blockchain. On January 3, 2009, Bitcoin was created with Satoshi Nakamoto mining the genesis block and 50 bitcoins(Kroll, Davey, & Felten, 2013). During this period, bitcoin had no monetary value and was only exchanged for entertainment purposes. On May 22, 2010, a Florida man bargained for two Papa John's pizzas at $25 and delivered for 10,000 bitcoins, more than a year after the first economic transaction (Kroll, Davey, & Felten, 2013). Miners and developers began to develop additional networks in 2011 to enhance the code underpinning Bit coin's blockchain and adapt it for other applications. In 2010, Bitcoin became accessible for trade, making it easier to purchase, trade, and even store (Kroll, Davey, & Felten, 2013). Bitcoin has come a long way and continues to reign supreme in the cryptocurrency markets.

The impact of the Affordable Care Act had on healthcare in the US.

In just under a decade, the Affordable Care Act had paid off more than anticipated by its pioneers when it was signed into law on June 22, 2010 by the United States president, Barack Obama. Thanks to the health act, up to twenty million Americans have been covered and a record of thousands of lives saved. People suffering from preexisting medical conditions are protected from discrimination by this bill as well; these individuals enjoy the fruits of the health coverage Act just like everyone else. The noble act also protects women from being extorted more charges to essential health services by the insurance. Increased access to prescription drugs is also made possible thanks to the bill; many private-owned chemists and pharmacies are licensed to offer prescription services. The seniors, the young, and the disabled reap the fruits of better coverage and cheaper and widened access to medical services.

Factors that contributed to the UK deciding to leave the EU

The British had substantive reasons for the exit of the European Union, a move dubbed Brexit, meaning the British exit. The biggest reason was immigration disagreements whereby the British felt the immigration rules infringed on the Britons' rights in a way that wasn't fair, resulting in quite an emotional dispute. Despite the immigration matter, the British also felt that the European Union was threatening their sovereign power in the way they were micromanaging them. Moreover, the British thought that the EU regulation on them was too burdensome for them to do any development. Also, the EU inhibited radical changes and corporate interests by the British. Lastly, the British felt they could better utilize the money they'd instead send to the EU as contributions after all felt ill-represented (Zoega, 2018).

“Is affirmative action still necessary in education and/or the workplace?”

Affirmative action is one thing that ought to be scrabbed off in any workplace in America and around the world. This is because it causes controversies that eventually ruin the possibilities of breakthroughs in organizations. Although supporters debate that it will help reverse engineer male dominance by supporting the voice of females in workplaces, this is a discriminative point of view: it's a gender-biased point of argument. Judgment should be under the basis of merit, and discipline should be instilled by set codes and associated penalties for defiance. Instead of using affirmative action, the reason should be based on regulations and policies somewhat laid out (Reubenfield, 1997).

“How has the Black Lives Matter movement affected discussions and view about racism in the US?”

Black Lives Matter has revolutionized the fight against racism in the US and the world. It has, however, brought significant changes in the racial discrimination perspective of United States citizens. The death of George Floyd that resulted in the Black Lives Matter movement as it so appears was never in vain. All celebrities worldwide, including politicians, artists, and more so football players amongst others, took the initiative of condemning the racist acts by police officers of Floyd. Since these celebrities command huge followership, many people were persuaded into hugely shunning racism never seen before.

The different ways to lower gun-related deaths in the US

Gun-related violence acts have been so rampant, mainly resulting in many untimely deaths of US citizens. Many discussions have been held to discuss the possible remedies to the problem. Suggestions that have been born from these discussions include: enforcing gun laws and regulations to reduce as much as possible civilian's access to weapons, acknowledging gun violence as a real threat so that proper preventive measures can be set, ensuring accountability by officers issued guns in their line of work and enhancing health sector to play its role in, for instance, guaranteeing adequate mental check-ups on persons wishing to own guns so that they do not wrongfully use the weapons under mental incapacitation grounds. Also, thorough trauma and emotional background checks on owners and possible owners of guns should be ensured.
