Question #74647

Hello, I need help with one of my assignment questions. How do you calculate the diameter of a pipe needed to water a track with only knowing the flow rate of 0.7 l/sec

Expert's answer

Let Q be a Flow Rate, A - Cross sectional area and V - Velocity.
Thus Q=AV.
Since we don’t know velocity V, just the Flow rate Q, we are not able to determine the Cross sectional area and therefore the diameter of the pipe.
