Advantages of sampling approach instead of census approach:

1.) Sample method is easy and scientific as compared to census approach.

2.) It requires less time and money as compared to census approach.

3.) In some circumstances census approach cannot be used at that time sampling approach can be used.

Disadvantages of sampling approach :

1.) Sometimes result may not be accurate at that time census approach is used.

2.) There is a possibility of misusing the data.

3.) If we take the wrong samples then overall result will be wrong but it is not in the case of census approach.
