Solution:


A linear pair of angles can be formed if two straight lines intersect.



From the figure, A and B is a linear pair of angles


(i) Linear angles have a common vertex


(ii) A and B are adjacent angles


(iii) A and B is a linear pair of angles, so they add up to "180^ o"


(iv) But, all adjacent angles will not form a linear pair.

It is required that



"\\angle A + \\angle B = 180^{\\circ}"



If we know any of these two angles, we can find the other one.

If one angle is a right angle, then the other one is a right angle too.
