The first element can be chosen in 8 different ways. Now when once one element is chosen the remaning set has 7 elements. The next element can be chosen in 7 different ways. In each ways of choosing first one, the second can be chose in 7 different ways. So for 8 ways of choosing first one the second can be chosen in 8*7 different ways. Hence 6-permutations can be chosen in 8*7*6*5*4*3= 20160 different ways. Number of 6-permutations = 20160
