enlarge the line by scale factor -2,with point(6,5)as the centre of enlargment.
-Assume the line PQ (attached image) has the center (6,5) , enlargement -2
-Join P and Q to the center as shown
-Produce the lines such that we obtain P' and Q'
-Using a pair of compasses, measure the distance P to the center and transfer the same to the opposite side of the enlargement to obtain P'. Repeat the same to Q to obtain Q'
Note:
The line P'Q' is the image of the line PQ
Line P'Q' is on the opposite side of line PQ in relation to the center of enlargement
Line PQ is the inverse of line P'Q'(laterally inverted)
