Institutional codes of conduct include policies made by the institution to align with its mission statement. The institutional code of ethics are meant to hep companies meet their professional practices and exceed them. The are focused on ensuring that the institution is in line with what it set to do or provide. Institutional codes of conduct clarifies the values, mission, and principles of an organization. For example, integrity, employee relations, and boundaries.

Professional code of conduct is a document containing a guide on how employees are supposed and expected to act of behalf of their company. This includes the image they portray to others on behalf of the organization. Professional codes of conduct also guide employees on how the should handle issues of safety, harassment, and conflict of interest. They are mainly standards practices. Examples of professional condes of conduct are; Not harassing others, respect, and being considerate.
