There is conflict between the manager and one of the employees in the procurement department of the profit making company. They are in a disagreement whether company would make charitable donations. According to manager the company should not give money to charity because it does not generate any income, in contrast the employee has expressed that it is important that the company should give back to the community .

The main goal of any business organization is to generate profit. Thus the manager view giving to society as misusing the company resource which may lead to business failure. While employee believes that the company should give back to society show an ethical dimension. However, I will advise the company to perceive donating to society as a modern way of marketing your business brand and gaining popularity which in return will give the company a competitive advantage over other companies. Nevertheless, the company should ensure that giving to the company does not affect normal business operations. Therefore the company should give based on its capability.
