Emotional intelligence lead atttendes on the path to a fulfilled and happy life by providing a framework through which to apply standards of intelligence to emotional responses and understand that these responses may be logically consistent or inconsistent with particular beliefs about emotion.

As the workplace evolves, so too does the body of research supporting that individuals (from interns to managers) with higher EI are better equipped to work cohesively within teams, deal with change more effectively, and manage stress – thus enabling them to more efficiently pursue business objectives.

(a) Self-awareness-You acknowledge your ego and are aware of both your strengths and weaknesses. You aim to ensure your ego and personal traits work for the benefit of the workforce and organisation.

(b) Self-regulation- When you consistently react in a calm way to pressure it creates a general sense of improved wellbeing in the workplace

(c) Motivation-Motivation partly stems from understanding WHAT you want to do and WHY you want to do it.

(d) Empathy- As a leader with empathy, you are able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes

(e) Social skills-Most of us know a leader we’d describe as being a ‘people person’ or having great social skills. Social skills are about the art of making an emotional connection with communication.
