The Industrial Revolution had many positive effects. Among those was an increase in wealth, increase in the production of goods, and increase in the standard of living. With the above information I therefore see the implementation of sustainable development being vital. This is because sustainable development aims to balance our economic, environmental and social needs, allowing prosperity for now and future generations. Sustainable development also consists of a long-term, assimilated approach to developing and achieving a healthy community by cooperatively addressing economic, environmental, and social issues, whilst avoiding the over consumption of key natural resources.
Nevertheless, sustainable development encourages us to conserve and enhance our resource base, by gradually changing the ways in which we develop and use technologies. Finally, with implementing sustainable development we will be encouraged to conserve and enhance our resource base, by gradually changing the ways in which we develop and use technologies. Sustainable development will also help us to use the available resources judiciously and working towards maintaining the ecological balance, to prevent degradation of the environment and laying emphasis on protecting the environment and also prevent overexploitation of resources.
