In this era of the COVID-19 pandemic, online purchases are on the rise because of the advancement of technology and access to the internet. This will eventually do away with retailers and wholesalers because the manufacturers sell directly to consumers. This will make the direct sales increase thus reducing the need for retailers and wholesalers.

During this time, social distancing is being encouraged which has led to many people opting in making their orders online then the manufacturers deliver their orders to their consumers directly.
