Q2. Walmart has introduced its range of western clothing in Pakistan, specifically for women. How do the factors that influence consumer behavior (cultural, social, personal, andpsychological) impact the buying decision of an average Pakistani household consumer?
The culture of the people of Pakistan is different from the people from the west, and not all Pakistanis will accept or embrace western clothing. The cultural divergence influences that consumers' behaviour, and most cultural preservative Pakistanis will opt for other clothing brands that embrace their culture besides Walmart's products.
Pakistanis have specific clothing that makes them comfortable in their social setups. Any Pakistan household consumer would decide not to buy any product from Walmart supposed the western clothing undermines their social values. For example, Pakistanis women are expected to put on long clothes that cover 90 percent of their bodies, different from western attire. Clothing that exposes women's bodies in Pakistan is perceived personal and psychological values of the Pakistan women as disrespectful.
