Technology illiteracy- Some adults aged 65 and above have no technology knowledge at all, this means they cannot operate any type of computer, therefore, cannot use Facebook.

Privacy concerns- many older people are concerned that their private life will be at risk if they are members of the Facebook community, this makes them reluctant to join Facebook.

Lack of access to devices like smartphones, laptops, or computers; lack of internet connection is also an issue. For someone to access Facebook they will need a device to used and connect via the internet.
