Describe the basic management process and principles
Management refers to the process aimed at achieving organizational goals. It is the duty of management to make interaction between people productive and useful for obtaining organizational goals. It includes five general functions: planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. There are seven major principles of management which include; customer focus which aims at quality management to meet customer requirements and to strive to exceed customer expectations, providing leadership through visionary qualities, engagement of relevant stakeholders, process approach, Improvement of systems within the organization, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management with the relevant stakeholders.
