Function Departmentalization
Function Departmentalization is the most appropriate form of departmentalization that I have come across in my working experience. The reason is that its structure makes the most efficient use of specialized business resources a case that makes the supervision to be easier. In this case, the function departmentalization in smaller firms is essential in the division of such firms into smaller categories of firms like finance, the act of creation of goods and services, and then the process of marketing. In other words, the function departmentalization has features like simplicity which eases its operation processes, a specialization that improves the quality of productivity, better coordination a case that fosters easy management, optimum use of available resources, and decisive formulation of operational plans. Therefore, function departmentalization is the most appropriate form of departmentalization.
