a. Can you explain Political, Economic and Social forces which have had an impact on the business? (5 Marks)

b. Can you also help them apply the contingency approach of Modern approach in order to face the pandemic effectively?

(a)

Political – Politics took centre stage in all the governments of the world since the emergence of Covid-19 with drastic measures such as lockdowns being effected and this harmed the business.

Economic – Ever since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic many economies have been on a slump and this affected the business as well.

Social – one of the major consequences of Covid-19 was the lack of social togetherness that was known to man before and this harmed the business as customers could not go out to buy in lock down situations (Christodoulou et al, 2019).

 

(b)

The hotel should ensure that it is following all the government protocols set up by the ministry regarding social distancing, washing of hands and frequent use of sanitizers. The hotel bookings should also be 70% as per the Ministry of Health guidelines.
