It has been argued that employee probation is poorly managed in most public sector organisations in Ghana. Discuss four (4) reasons why this should be of concern to public service managers.
Probation is a period allocated for a worker to showcase their skill before being permanently employed.. Misappropriation of probation period should be of concern to the managers because;
The managers should ensure that all workers in probation mode are treated equally and fairly to avoid any abuse of these workers.
The second is, it should be of concern to make sure that they motivate employees at probation ode and nature their abilities, mentor them to gain more skills that fit the organization
The third cause of concern is to ensure that managers allow these probation workers are allowed to access any material they need to enhance their skills and improve knowledge about how the organization operates
The issue should be of concern to managers to ensure that probation worker are protected from possible lies and conman who subject them to intense activities and promising to promote them soon. probation assignment should come with specific responsibilities, not being assigned by multiple individuals
