Vygotsky's sociocultural theory describes the learning process as being a social process and it is also the origination of human intelligence in a specific culture. the fundamental them of the Vygotsky's theory is that human interactions in the social perspectives plays an important role in cognitive development at different levels. The first level is through the interaction then through the integration into a person's mental structure. The second level is that the potential of cognitive development is limited to specific zones of proximal development. A zone is defined as an area of exploration where a student or any person in the society is cognitively prepared. The basic ideology from the Vygotsky's theory is that social interaction is essential for cognitive development as different people in the society with different cognitive capabilities interact and they share and exchange ideas to develop others. For example, a teacher who is more experienced helps a student develop their cognitive abilities when they interact.
