The Department of Human Settlements is a stakeholder in human settlements management. The Department of Human Settlements' purpose is to assist the development of sustainable human settlements and the improvement of home life quality. The Department is in charge of determining to fund as well as promoting, communicating, and monitoring the execution of housing programs.
Other stakeholders are the citizens and non-governmental agencies.
Citizens are empowered through
1. Connect to the company's vision. Many studies have been conducted in which executives question workers if they understand how what they do contributes to the overall success of their business. As many as 95 percent of respondents have stated that they are unsure how their work contributes to the company's performance. Taking the time to develop a vision with others boosts motivation since it provides a monetary value for the individual's participation.
2. Define your boundaries. When you provide clear deadlines and limitations for completion, you give people the freedom to plan their work and make their own judgments. Once the limits have been set, let them to do their work in the manner that they feel fit, and don't be concerned if it differs from how you would approach a specific assignment. What matters is the ultimate outcome, not the road to getting there.
3. Maintain a healthy balance of direction and support. Your employees will not feel empowered if you give them a precise list of procedures to follow or complete that does not allow for creativity or initiative. By asking questions and listening to their replies, you can determine how much guidance they require. You must decide how much coaching and mentoring they may require. Don't micromanage their work in any way. Offer your aid where they believe they may require it, and be available to answer any questions that may arise along the route.
