Discuss an information system that serve Marketing Department and another IS that can serve the Human Resource department
A marketing information system has four components: the internal reporting system, the marketing research systems, the marketing intelligence system and marketing models. Internal reports include orders received, inventory records and sales invoices.
1.Transaction processing systems (TPS) are basic business systems that serve the operational level of the organization by recording the daily routine transactions required to conduct business, such as payroll and sales receipts.
2.Management information systems (MIS) serve middle managers' interests by providing current and historical performance information to aid in planning, controlling, and decision making at the management level. MIS typically compress TPS data to present regular reports on the company's basic operations.
An HRIS enables the HR department to spend less time on clerical tasks, helps ensure the accuracy of employee data and can enable employees to take a greater role in the management of their information.Input function allows us to enter personnel information into the HRIS. The maintenance function allows us to update and add new data into the database. To generate valuable outputs, HRIS needs to make the necessary calculations, and format the data in a way that it could be understood. Therefore, it is important to remember that the most important elements of HRIS is the information, rather the automation of the process or the hardware/software used
