state how H&M and starbucks are being socially responsible
As the garment sector has come under growing attention for the detrimental effects its activities and commodities have on the environment; sustainability has been forced to the forefront of the economic plan for many corporations. With its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and the way it has fostered environmental consciousness among its suppliers, staff, and consumers, H&M has set a powerful example in the field.
From the acquisition of raw materials to the manufacturing of textiles to the coaching of workers in H&M plants, the organization’s CSR effort, which it calls Conscious, is carried out throughout its activities. The company's CSR measures include heavy use of organically produced fibres, decreased toxic substances in its supply chains and production lines, improved labour rights protection and attempts to conserve water. In addition, H&M aids to encourage its consumers to recycle their unwanted commodities and has launched a scheme in the United Kingdom where consumers may bring unwanted items to H&M stores in exchange for special offers.
