Individuals practicing ethical and socially responsible behavior are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty, and the actions of an individual must benefit the whole society. If a balance between economic growth and the welfare of society and environment is achieved, then social responsibility is achieved. If a decision/action is harmful to the environment or society, then it would be considered unethical and socially responsible.
