To what extent do you agree with the proposition that US has a skill deficit
There is no doubt that American employers are facing a record number of job openings. Employers in almost every state are experiencing severe shortages of employees with an associate's degree or other college education, as well as workers with a bachelor's degree or higher education, costing the economy nearly $1.2 trillion. Demographic trends are undoubtedly contributing to the labor shortage. Besides, existing educational achievement levels are inadequate. Over the last decade, America's economy has digitized, and our legacy infrastructure – postsecondary education institutions and workforce development boards – has not kept up. Moreover, as the economy has become more digital, recruiting practices have shifted, with real consequences for the workforce.
