As an external consultant to New Delhi Government, suggest 5 innovative solutions to solve the “Air pollution” issue. 1.     Use of electric self-driving cars. These will decrease the number of cars using fossil fuels to operate.

2.     Traffic management and smart parking. It will reduce traffic volume in the cities thus controlling air pollution.

3.     Application of pollution sensors in street lights. For example, Sweden has developed nano-sensors that can be mounted in street lights and monitor nitrogen dioxide levels.

4.     Use of pollution-absorbing items. For example, Europe has initiated the use of city tree benches that can control air pollution.

5.     Scooter and bike sharing schemes. These will be an option for those who cannot afford electric cars.
