Case study:
You work for your college bookstore, which sells clothes, books, computers, snacks, school supplies, and college memorabilia. You are responsible for tailoring your advertising to attract your customer base. But your boss also wants you to build customer loyalty and repeat business.
Which of the following methods do you think will best suit your target audience of college students, their families, and alumni?
Outline a plan that incorporates the top three ideas for achieving better loyalty.
Answer
I would custom Internet ads or email flyers by use an email list of the College student’s families and the College alumni. Although considering a digital flyer to contacts in the regular mail list, it would help indicate whether the college students, their parents, and alumni are interested in hearing about the college bookstore products. Also, by explaining to their potential families and the college alumni what kind of information they would expect in their emails and make sure the benefits I’m offering them are apparent such as discounts.
Furthermore, based on a plan that incorporates achieving better loyalty, I would develop loyalty programs to boost the college bookstore business through the following ways;
a) By making customer service a priority
b) Rewarding my customers
c) Offering inconveniences
However, to attain customer loyalty, having something distinct about all brands in the bookstore would help the business be competitive.
