What challenges do managers face in motivating today's workforce?
Motivating employees is very important in an organization since it encourages workers to constantly do their best and get good outcomes. However, managers get it hard to sustain motivations among their employees to fulfill their eagerness and reach their full potential.
In the workplaces today, managers face several challenges when encouraging their employees such as;
1. The constantly changing workforce.
Most companies cannot keep the same workers forever, companies employ people with demand and terminate them when necessary therefore maintaining their convictions is difficult since each individual has their own belief and interest. However, managers have got it tough understanding their constantly changing and evolving workers.
2. Difficult economic situation.
Since most employees feel encouraged with material gains. workers might face low motivation if the organization is struggling economically. Moreover, to fulfill organizations' expectations, laborers might be forced to work overtime without extra payment and even suffer their basic salary cut off.
3.Changing job descriptions.
Employee motivations might suffer when the organization needs some changes. The responsibilities might increase suddenly overwhelming and confusing employees, thus impacting on the motivations incredibly.
4.the invisible employee motives.
Managers get a difficult time determining the best incentives. Therefore managers can only presume what can work as a motivator for their work based on the activities of the employees and sometimes their presumption might not fulfill their employer's interest.
