(a) Project follow-up and monitoring.
(b) PERT and CPM.Â
1. A) The project management life cycle is usually broken down into four phases: initiation, planning, execution, and closure. These phases make up the path that takes your project from the beginning to the end.
B) These include poor project management, inadequate opportunities for potential beneficiaries to participate in project identification and design, poor linkages between project activities and project purpose, insufficient attention to external environment during project design, among others.
2.A) Project monitoring is the process of keeping a close eye on the entire project management life cycle and ensuring project activities are on the right track. The success of a project depends on a clearly defined structure. .Project monitoring is all about comparing actual performance to the goals you set.
B) The main difference between PERT and Critical Path is knowing how long a given task will take. With PERT, task durations are variable, hence the need to predict time using a model. Critical Path is more useful for projects where task length is easy to predict, such as a construction project or a large conference.
